Minecraft for IOS Confirmed The Hunt is Back for Free Time to Squander

You know all of the time you’ve spent on Angry Birds HD? Gamasutra has been informed by Markus Persson that an iOS port of the game is currently in development. This means that an official Minecraft version will soon be popping on the Apple App Store and will include iPhone and iPad versions of the game being discussed. The port is being developed by Aron Neiminen (a new recruit to Mojang’s team) and is expected to be released later in the year should everything go according to plan. Persson confirmed that the iOS version won’t get all the updates that the original browser or downloaded versions do, but it will be given “granted features that are appropriate for the touchscreen platform.” Minecraft servers Let your hand rise If you’re over the moon with joy.

Update: Video is now available after the break! Thanks, Cooper.

Update 2: Even though the video after the break doesn’t contain the game’s official version but it’s a great third-party client. It has been removed from the App Store.
